My name is Mamie and I am 26 years old. I am an artist/child care worker living in Montreal. My last full time position was for a boy of 10 months, where I cared for him for 30 hour per week. Before that position, I worked as a nanny for three boys. I was with this family for almost 2 years, leaving them because I moved from Halifax to Montreal. I have also done a lot of part-time nanny work with babies as young as 3 months old. In the past, I worked as an early childhood educator for several years, (YMCA and Montessori) working in classrooms with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I taught the longest in the toddler classroom. I have excellent references and clear background check. I love working with kids and I am very active and outgoing, I have many interests but especially art. Very comfortable in the kitchen and doing household tasks. I have a bachelor of fine art from NSCAD university, and part of a psychology degree from Dalhousie University. I love working with kids and I truly love being a nanny, in the distant future I would like to study at Concordia taking a Masters of Art Therapy, but I have been enjoying working as a nanny I feel as though I am benefitting from this career choice.
