Samantha's responsibilities included total care; including, meals, body and dental cleanliness, laundry and light housekeeping. However, Samantha went above and beyond this job description so that family members would not have to do so. She created a daily plan with regards to stimulation, exercise and nutritious diet. She kept us informed and sent pictures of special moments. She ordered all necessary items from the pharmacy. She did the grocery shopping as well as the cooking. She was in contact with the CLSC to arrange for wheelchair and other needed items that they could provide as well as flu shots and vaccines. She dealt with all maintenance people who were sent for repairs to the apartment. She is intelligent, organized, trustworthy, tech savvy and compassionate. All this to say that Samantha became like a member of our family and treated my sister-in-law like a member of hers. She lightened the family's load and her presence gave us peace of mind to know that our loved one was safe and in good hands. One could not calculate what a gift she was to all of us.
