I am an active and energetic person that enjoys dancing, being outside, going on hikes and engaging in community programming. I use a play based approach to care and will always meet the child where they are at.

I have been working in a variety of child care settings for just over 7 years now. I started as a caregiver to a child with Cerebral Palsy. During this time, I had the privilege of working alongside the child's physiotherapist. I observed their appointments, implemented the suggested exercises through play and daily activities, and provided feedback in regards to any relevant changes that occurred between sessions. I watched the toddler develop, overcome obstacles, and gain confidence through inclusion in community programs. This opportunity undoubtedly reinforced my passion for working with children of all abilities. I am extremely passionate about creating a connection with a child and their family first, then learning new and fun ways to achieve the goals outlined by the therapist! I have worked as an Educational Assistant in a preschool setting and in additional programming sessions (one on one/small groups). In this position, I followed IPPs closely and worked within a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, I have worked as an Assistant Team Lead and a Preschool Teacher. I worked with children with diverse needs as well as neurotypical children in a classroom setting. I used children’s IPPs and preschool curriculum to guide my planning in the classroom. I am currently working as an educational assistant in the school district with high complex needs kids.
