Good day. I am corrine, 29 years old and a permanent resident. I am a registered nurse with 3 yrs work experience in a health care setting. I also worked live in full time in Canada for 8 months to a bed ridden elderly with health conditions. I have experience with lifts and transfers (from bed to chair, wheelchair to chair and wheelchair to bed). I performed all the activities of daily living to the elderly-- from bed bath, grooming, feeding, administering oral and insulin medication, changing diapers, assisting mild exercises, accompany to hospital check ups to cooking, light house cleaning (laundry, dishwashing, vacuuming, dusting. Recently, my employment was a companion to a 58 year-old man who has anxiety for 2 years. I have a valid CPR license and traning and PDSB training. I also studied PAB for 3 months and I am a licensed practical nurse in Alberta. I am willing to provide companionship and care for seniors. Experience wise, I solely cared for my 15-month old daughter back home and I think this is a very good experience on my part. I had been a hands on mom before moving to Canada and so I know what it takes to care for babies (I am willing to be taught/given instructions as well). Caring for a child needs a lot of patience and safety is the top priority includinh hygiene as well since babies/toddlers are still prone to infection that might put their health at stake. This is the reason why taking assistance for children should also include cleaning to ensure a safe and tidy environment. Moreover, playtime is also encouraged for them to practice their cognitive abilities and motor skills gradually but not to the point that they should engage into strenuous activities as they still have fragile bodies. Providing good nutrition and supplements can help boost their immune system and energize their body system accordingly. :)

I earned a degree in BS Nursing in the Philippines in 2009. I also passed the Board exam in 2010.
