Hello. My name is Emily. I have my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and am currently a Grade 2/3 teacher. I have lived in Edmonton my whole life. I worked at a YMCA out-of-school care for nearly 4 years with children aged 5-12. I love being around kids and knowing I am helping them and creating a safe and fun environment for them. I have a large extended family with a lot of kids so I spend a lot of time with them as well as babysitting cousins, etc. I have been playing violin since I was 4, so music is something that I am passionate about. I have spent some time teaching abroad prior to beginning my teaching career in Edmonton. I love to travel, boulder, crochet, and spend time with family and friends.

I worked for YMCA Child Care in schools for nearly 4 years. I took care of children in kidnergarten-grade 6. Working in child care I planned activities for the children, provided snacks throughout the day, supervised and monitored children indoors and outdoors, greeted parents and families, and ensured the environment was child-friendly and safe at all times. I also recently finished working a summer position with the City of Edmonton doing Green Shacks everyday, running programs and activities 5 days a week for children between the ages of 3-13.

I graduated from the U of A in 2020 with my BEd. I am currently a teacher with EPSB.
