**I found a position for Tuesdays-Thursdays (daytime), but I am available for one-time or occasional childcare needs :) Hi. My name is Rachelle. I have a degree in Developmental Psychology from the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh. I have experience working in preschools and summer camps. I am interested in being a nanny for a family for the summer. I am available late May/early June until the end of August/mid September. I love working with children. It's what I went to university for and it's what I did while attending university. To be honest, though, as a new graduate I had a thirst to see what else life had to offer besides working 40 hours a week. So I have been exploring, trying new experiences, and working here and there along the way. What I have come to realize is that working with children is meaningful to me. I have been a barista, sales associate, worked outdoors, and in offices. It has become very clear for me that work needs to be meaningful in order to be a happy employee and person. I enjoy the spontaneity of children, while recognizing that routines are important for them. I think play is an amazing way to teach and learn. I think some of the most important qualities when interacting with children (and each other. ) are patience, kindness, sympathy, and curiosity. A little about my hobbies/interests - cycling around this beautiful city and mountains, rock climbing, reading, cooking dinner with friends, going to see live comedy. If you're looking for someone to take care of your kids with enthusiasm and patience, then please contact me.

While I was in high school I babysat in the evenings. During the summers between college semesters I worked at various preschools. During school I worked at an after school program in my junior year and at a preschool during my senior year as a practicum. I also babysat occasionally for families from that preschool.
