I am a certified health care aide, I have worked several years for families and love the work that I do with the elderly as this is part of my culture to care for our elders who have given so much of themselves in their lives. I am also able to care for children as I was a live in nanny for a family with one child for the past 5 yrs I did not include this in my resume as it only pertains to formal work. My previous experience was informal and on call when required. I am currently open to accommodating any hours available, I am open to additional training and have access to certification with confirmation of employment, I am friendly, quiet and dutiful to my tasks, I am also very compassionate and willing to step out of my job description to care for individuals within reason and have the maturity to take on leadership roles using common sense in times of emergency. The children were dropped off in the morning at my place and I cared for them during the morning until noon, when the parent would return to take them to day home, when clients child was sick, I would care for the child for the entire day and would also do this in the evenings. I was able to develop good relationships with the children, I would talk to them on a daily basis to develop their social skills, would play interactive learning games and would ensure they had healthy snacks and nap time to develop their minds. In times of discipline, I would follow the guidelines of the parents rules and reinforce any rules that the children were under to ensure there was no issues when the child returned home, I also cared for the children in the their homes and was always open to watching them after hours if required.

I completed up to grade 11, I can read and write, have basic computer skills, I have my Class 5 Driver's license and also extensive training for working with the elderly.
