Hi, my name is Susan. I am a friendly, outgoing, love life and love to help people. I was raised by my grandparents. I started singing as a soloist in a church at the age of three. My grandmother was a great song leader, and my late grandfather was a self-taught drummer. My grandmother was a great inspiration in my life. She once told me, " Honey, you talk to from the youngest to the oldest, it doesn't matter who they are, what they look like what they do, you should just always pay your respect ". I grew up in a very loving environment. I love to sing, dance, and play my clarinet. I am constantly learning. I am a certified health care aiide I am also a Medical Office Assistant. I have done other jobs in the past. I was a Commissionaire in Vancouver B. C. Later I was a Security Guard for the Main Post Office for Securitas. I have also worked at the Lookout Emergency Aid Society for three years. This involved Mental Health clients and Harm Reduction Programs. I loved working there, but I also like to advance in my position. I reached the ultimate level, and there was no other advancement, so I turned to a nursing career. I have had many jobs in the health care. In one hospital, I wore eight different hats. As well as being elected as the Hospital Employee Chairperson. I was also asked by the R. C. M. P. members while working at the hospital to work for them as a Matron. Whenever opportunity was available, I always take the step to do more with my life. I am a single mother, who raised my two sons. They are both graduates one of 2012, my oldest graduated with two scholarships. My youngest one and I graduated in 2014. My son, with his high school diploma, and me with my Health Care Aide Certificate. I also took the Registered Psychiatric Nurse Program at Douglas College in New Westminster, B. C. Due to unforeseen circumstances with my funding, I was not able to complete the program. Instead, I took the job at the Lookout Emergency Aid Society The Homeless Shelter, because of my clinical at the Living Room in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. I love working with and talking to people. I have a great disposition, especially, with the elderly. I believe we need to, and should, respect our elders, we have so much to learn from them, and we are only here because of them.

I do not have a certificate in childcare. I am a single mother, that raised two fine, well mannered, boys. I took an active part in their baseball games, and tournaments. I was my youngest son's "Team Mom". That entailed woking with a team of 20 boys from the ages 6 to 8 yrs. of age. I ran the canteen, and helped other moms play an active role in helping out our team. I organized and delegated duties to make the tournament a success. I can cook, clean, and I was a babysitter as a young girl for many years.
