You would find me to be loving and kind, honest, outgoing and adaptable. Although my age is mature I am very youthful in my appearance and interaction with the world around me. I am physically fit and able to participate in active pursuits. I have developed excellent interpersonal skills and am known for being able to establish a rapport with everyone. I am willing to do housework, driving, cooking, etc. Also willing to travel with the family if necessary. Becoming a part of the family would be a priority for me. I would like my own private bedroom and bathroom too, if possible. Normally I need to be given 2 days off per week, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

I am a mother to 2 grown up sons, both who have become successful, well adjusted, adults. Unfortunately, they have guaranteed me that they will never be having children (including my son who is married), so I am not going to get grandchildren of my own. This is my primary reason for wanting to be an au pair as I love children very much and wish to fulfill a need to experience a grandmotherly role. I have a lot of varied experience with children. My college training was in the area of working with special needs children. I have worked as a substitute preschool teacher, an elementary school special education assistant, an elementary school substitute teacher, an autism interventionist, and as a nanny.
