My background as a Christian has taught me well, to be kind, caring and humble. I grew up taking care of my siblings, now a young man and a young woman who I am very proud of. I have a few years of experience caring for people of all ages, from infants to preteens and also the elderly. In my previous role as a elderly caregiver I was quickly thought how to fully understand the nature of any illnesses, the treatments being received and any emergency procedures to be followed when the client's condition worsen. Whilst taking care of my client I also learned that I had to be very patient, understanding, private, observant and ensured that their privacy and dignity are always maintained, this experience has taught me a lot and leave me as a very rounded individual. I take safety extremely seriously, and am trained and certified in first-aid and CPR. I also have a food handlers certificate. My background is in Library, I have a first degree. I love to read and enjoy reading to children and adults or watch and listen to them do the same. I believe that reading is one of the first steps to help a child's mind grow and an adult's mind stay alert.
