  About Me

Hello. My name is Jocelanne and I have been caring for children for well over 10 years. With 4 of those years as a part time nanny and the rest as casual babysitting. I am 21 years old, and since I was 10 I have been caring for children that had siblings on my brothers lacrosse and hockey teams. My family and I made close relationships with quite a few of those families, and I would watch their children while at games and tournaments so that the parents could watch without being interrupted. It was normal for me to have 5 or 6 kids with me of all ages going on adventures to nearby parks, recreational centres or just for a walk. I babysat for a few of the families outside of sports, at their home as well as my own. I grew close with a group of children, and still talk to them to this day. In 2011, I started casually nannying for a family friend as she transitioned back to work after having her first baby. I would stay over night with the baby while she worked night shifts and her husband was deployed overseas. By the time I finished high school, Laura had her second baby and I started helping out more while also having 2 other jobs. Some of the duties I performed for Laura included preparing and serving healthy and delicious meals to the children (food safe and multiple adult level cooking courses), putting the kids down for naps, taking them for play dates, doctors appointments, or just out for ice cream or a walk. I also performed light cleaning duties and some occasional meal prep. I have taken first aid and CPR courses, however the certifications are now expired, but I am willing to retake them if you would like. However I am very experienced with CPR and first aid as I took pre-nursing at college. I nannied for Laura until 2015 when I moved to Ottawa for 2 years, where I attended college and recently just moved back to Victoria. I have a full B. C. driverís license and a reliable car. I don't mind running errands or getting groceries or taking the kids to any appointments. If you are comfortable, I would love to take the kidís swimming or to the movies or whatever they would like to do. If you like what you are reading, get in touch with me and I can provide a resume and 2 letters of recommendation, as well as other references. My wage depends on how many children you have and if household and errands would be included.

Laura McGhee
I was a babysitter for laura from 2011 onwards and in 2013 became her full time nanny until July of 2015. I started when her daughter Charlottle was only 6 months and she had her son Dylan in 2013. Laura is a nurse and her husband is in the navy so I covered alot of her 12 hour shifts. I only put her email here because she does do so much shift work that it is much easier to reach her through email.

Cheryl Johns
I have been babysitting Cheryls daughter Sam since she was just a toddler! I met Cheryl through my brothers sports teams and our families quickly became friends. Every game or practice that I was there, chances are Sam and I would be at the park with a few other kids.
