Hello, My name is Allison . I am 46 yrs old, divorced, no children and no pets. I work in northern Alberta on a week on/week off schedule. Due to recent changes in my marital status I find I need to pick up a second job to make ends meet. What drew my eye to this site was a position listed in Mission ( I have cut and pasted it below) Hi, We are a family of three with a four year old son who is mildly autistic and and is an absolute joy to be with. We both work full time so our house is quite a mess. We are hoping to find someone who cane come in once a week for several hours to do some cleaning - bathrooms, floors, kitchen, vacuuming, general tidying. We would also love it if we found someone who could cook the occasional meal since that has been a struggle for us since we get home so late. We are pretty easygoing. (Although this is not an essential, it would be awesome if we found someone who spoke both French and English. ) We want whoever we hire to feel at home in our place and feel like a friend. When I read it I thought that I could go in Fridays and Wednesdays to clean and make dinner and I would also be able to prepare some freezer meals for them while I am home and they could have easy fast dinners on days when they came home late. So, that basically tells you my situation and gives an insight to how I think I could still be a benefit to a family even if I away half of the time. As far as experience goes, I have, of course, over the years provided caregiver/housekeeper/cook services to many people. I believe I am very personable and I do enjoy that type of work. I would not want to give up my last 17 years in Industrial/construction, but would like to blend the two if at all possible. Thank you for your consideration, Allison

I do not have formal caregiving training. I do have a lot of experience caring for children, whether it be for my own family or for friends etc.

Please note that all of my formal education has been in Occupational Health and Safety, First Aid, Construction Coordination and Business Management.
