My name is Eva Gabriela but I go by “Gaby” since it tends to be easier for the kids to pronounce and remember. I am a 44-year-old Mexican nanny, although I look and feel younger than I am. I have 3 Daughters and one Grandson. My Daughter’s ages are 28, 21 and 9 (as you see I have many years of experience raising my children). I lived in Mexico most of my life but I moved to Anchorage, Alaska for a few years. There my youngest daughter Janely was born. I have been living in Vancouver since 2009 and I love it. At home, it is just Karla (my second child), Janely (the youngest) and myself. I have a very busy life working, enjoying my family and driving Janely to her after school lessons such as Mandarin, Karate, Kumon, Swimming and many others. It is very important for me keeping them busy specially Janely since she is still very young. I also want to provide to her the best tools and skills for her future. On weekends we usually go somewhere outside like walks at Stanley park or a day at the beach. However, it all depends on the weather and since Vancouver has such a crazy one we like to have some indoor activities in our back pocket for those days. Such as bowling, going to science world or the aquarium. We also like to visit my oldest daughter Eva, her husband and her baby Bradley who just turned one-year old. We also like visit my sister Alex who lives with her husband and her 2-year-old boy. That is unfortunately the only family we have here as the rest of them live in Mexico. As on now I am working with a wonderful family and I’ve been there for four years. Sadly, the children have grown up and become very independent as well as go to school full time so I am no longer needed. This makes me sad but very proud at the same time because I know that I did my best with helping the kids become the most kind and caring children. They are amazing and I am so happy that the family allowed me to be a part of their lives. My first language is Spanish but I am fluent in English and I would love to learn French. I started babysitting 19 years ago, children from as little as 3 months old to as old as 10. When I came to Vancouver I decided to be a Full-time Nanny and House manager. I love my job and I love how my previous families have been very welcoming, and they make me feel as though I am part of their of their lovely family. I like to keep in touch with all of my precious families as they all became such a huge part of my life and hold a very dear spot in my heart. I love being around children, and I like to help moms and dads who have very busy lives easier. I am a very organized, responsible, reliable, fun, loving, and enthusiastic person who is looking for a new adventure with a friendly, loving, easy going, clean family. Wake up and daily routines. (dressing, brushing teeth, pack backpacks, etc. ) Prepare and serve breakfast, snacks, school lunch. Drive children to school, and activities such as speech, occupational, and behavior therapies etc. Take children to Doctor’s appointments. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the daily routine including feeding, dressing, bathing and providing entertainment for the children. Participated with both kids in different activities such as, beach trips, play gym, waterparks, public swimming pools, picnics at the beach, bike ride, etc. Tends to the emotional comfort of the children. Participated and assisted to special school events with the children, such as graduation day, school festivals, sports day, etc. Disciplined by using the methods suggested by the parents. Instructed children in personal cleanliness and social development. Kept a watchful eye while they played to ensure they were safe. Planned play dates. Supervised homework and chores.
