  About Me

I am part time student at the University of Ottawa looking for part time or full time work babysitting. My education background is in economics, but I enjoy playing and listening to music, trivia games, hairstyling, and the outdoors in my spare time. I have experience babysitting a newborn for 2 years, as well as tutoring grade school children in math and literacy. I love reading, doing crafts, playing music, and cooking with children of various ages.

During middle school and early high school, I frequently took care of a newborn girl named Sara who lived across the street from me. I was in charge of feeding, changing, bathing, and cleaning up. I have since lost contact with the family after they moved away from our neighbourhood, but this experience made me interested in pursuing nannying again after finished university.

From 2010 - 2014, I was actively involved in a youth leadership program called Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership. With this program, I worked with youth in a myriad of roles including leading seminars, working with small groups, planning volunteer activities, and revamping curriculums. This, along with my math tutoring experiences gave me confidence to work with pre teens and teenagers in developing their self confidence, critical thinking skills, and instilling a life long interest in community service.

My background in Economics and experience in 4 COOP positions may be more oriented to analytical work, but I believe my commitment to meeting deadlines and reliability in office work makes me a good candidate to care for children again. I have maintained a position on the Dean's Honour's List and received high evaluations for each COOP position since starting in 2012.
