I am a people person, love pets and kids not necessary in that order.
3 children of my own; 4 grand kids, I have had many nieces and nephews growing up around me. (20) I have always been the aunt in calling and have attended to them in daycare and babysitting capacity. - all ages. Many fun activities indoors or out. Bird house building, crafts, gardening, stone painting. etc.
I live in Meaford and love gardening, skiing. I am married to a wonderful man and he is a crazy car guy. (the classics)
I cared for my ailing mother and her sister in prior years right up to the end of life and within a hospice environment.
. I worked in the OWEN SOUND hospital in a management capacity /privacy /health records and Health Clinic in the NWT for 8 year combined. Several physicians could reference upon request as could others.
I cared for my husband after his heart surgery and intensive care stay from a serious fall, after he was discharged. (meals, daily washing, bathroom duties, pills, bills, errands, lawyers, banking, family) I am taking the VON end of life course. I have a police background check from the hospital but would do another if necessary.
I have a tremendous amount of patience and love crafts with kids, as well as story telling and games. I was a live in nanny to my brother's two children growing up while they were off on careers. I am very organized overall and provide a neat and orderly routine at all times, but when the fun and messy crafts are over everyone pitches in to clean up.
I love hugs and am personable. I create a warm and inviting atmosphere and am very protective of my role in ensuring all in my care are safe, happy and free from any circumstances that are not appropriate or safe. Totally trustworthy with your lives in my hands. I was on the OHS Committee at GBHS.
