Hello, My name is Michelle. I am a mature, grounded, and conscientious 21 year old. I am a second year nursing student at the University of the Fraser Valley. I am looking for a nanny job this summer before I go back to school in the fall. I have always enjoyed spending time with children and have babysat for many years mostly through middle and high school. I have had extensive volunteer experience by peer tutoring at elementary, middle, and high school levels. I also spent a few years doing the VolunTEEN program at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. I really enjoy hiking and spending time in the outdoors. Taking care of all types of people is my passion as that is what I have chosen to do with my future career. Eventually, I would like to pursue a speciality in paediatric nursing. I have my first aid and CPR certification that was renewed in August of last year. I am willing to babysit children of all ages and couldn't think of a better way to spend my summer. I have grown up in a loving and supportive family with a solid parental upbringing and I would like to utilize these qualities in the way I communicate and take care of children. I personally believe that all children are unique and with their own set of individual needs. Building connections and relationships are crucial for child development and nurturing. My goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable, and enriching environment for each and every child I work with. The only work experience I have where I have been paid to take care of children is babysitting, I have extensive experience with people including children through volunteering and tutoring. I intend to provide care for children by giving them my full attention and care. I care deeply about people as a whole and always want to make sure they are looked after, cared for, and most of all happy. I would take these qualities and project them all in providing care for children.

I am currently working toward getting my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and then hope to specialize in paediatrics.
