Hello there. I am Meenu and I am 19. I am studying Early Childhood Education at George Brown College. I am a First Aid/CPR certified, as well as certified Early Childhood Assistant. I have been babysitting since the age of 13 outside of my house for other families. I have experience with ages Birth to 12 years. I am a very creative, organized and well planned out babysitter and always bring activities and crafts for the kids and like to incorporate music. I am multilingual. I speak Hindi and Punjabi. I have successfully completed my first placement with preschoolers at Nelson Mandela Childcare Centre and second placement with infants at Woodgreen Riverdale Childcare Centre.. During that time period, I learned Interpersonal communication skills. I learned how to see the world from child's point of view. I practiced problem solving skill. I learned to change diapers and respecting the needs of the children. I added diversity in the program by bringing my cultural dress in the Centre and performing 'Bhangra' (cultural dance of Punjab, India). I learned to plan activities according to the age and developmental stage of the children.
