I am currently a university student, studying Social Sciences. I have a passion for working with children, with over 6 years of experience working with children of all ages. With my experience of working as a daycamp leader and various other related positions, I know many activities and fun games to play with children, depending on their age group. I love the outdoors and I also love art and any hands-on activities. I have experience leading large groups of children by myself, so I am both responsible and able to handle any situation I may be presented with. I am more than happy to provide a resume or references letters upon request.

Since 2011, I have started volunteering with daycamps or any family events at various community centres or organizations. I am always eager to lend a helping hand as much as possible. In 2014, I started working at Kitsilano Community Centre. Since 2014, I have worked various positions at the community centre, starting with being an aftercare leader, which mainly pertained to organizing and leading a group of up to 13 children independently by myself. I would lead and supervise group activities, while also constantly maintaining a clean and safe environment for everyone. Activities include taking the children to the playground, the park or playing group games or sports inside the gym. Secondly, I also worked as a preschool teacher, leading small classes of preschool-aged children and teaching them simple math, English or science. Most recently, I worked as a daycamp leader last summer 2016. This was by far my most challenging yet rewarding position because I had to carry out so many responsibilities in a stressful and often fast-paced environment. I was in charge of organizing daily activities, keeping track of inventory, constant preparation and organizing of equipment, preparing light snacks or meals for the children, ensuring the safety and well-being of up to 50 children, as well as communicating with parents and resolving any issues. I am excellent at multi-tasking and I always strive to provide a safe and friendly environment for all. I can also cook and prepare light meals and snacks when necessary.

I graduated Lord Byng Secondary with an honours in Fine Arts. For my 5 years of high school, I was in the mini school program of fine arts, specializing in visual arts. I have a passion for art and am always excited to share that with the children I work with while doing crafts or related activities. I am currently studying at the University of Toronto, studying Social Sciences. I am currently resided and live in Vancouver and looking for work during the summer.
