I am a hardworking and conscientious Irish university student seeking employment in Vancouver. I have completed my second year of undergraduate studies in French and English with a 3. 9 GPA. I have excellent communication and organisational skills. I have a polite, mannerly attitude and I am punctual, reliable and meticulous, all of which I am eager to demonstrate as your employee. I am lively and communciate well with both seniors and children. I have also been brought up to be caring and thoughtful to those around me. I come from a kind, outgoing and adventurous family. My father is a pediatric doctor, my mum is a nurse and I have three lively brothers with whom I am very close. My time as a full-time domestic worker in an elderly care home for clients with advancing dementia involved extensive cleaning duties which ensured my heightened awareness of hygiene and attention to detail in cleaning. Preparing, serving and clearing up the clients' meals made me aware of the importance of varying nutritional needs for every individual. I communicated well with these seniors who often experienced difficulty in comprehension and expression, and built a wonderful rapport with many. My time as a mentor teacher involved creating a fun and safe learning environment for the children. I believe that each child deserves personal attention and encouragement to express themselves and gain confidence. I am a sporty person with particular interests in Gaelic football and women's rugby and I love the outdoors. My participation in the Special Olympics programme for young children with disabilities involved ensuring my sports, communication and child-friendly skills to make a real difference.

Mentor teacher in language summer college: I planned and ran a daily mentoring class for students who were struggling with the language barrier, with learning games to encourage participation and self-expression outside of the classroom. I believe that childhood is a vital and wonderful stage of life and I intend to grant each child the attention and care to develop and grow as happy individuals, catering to their personal needs.
