Th Hi there: I am a 57 year old lady with a keen interest in sports, animals, and helping my fellow humans. I have 2 grown children, both boys, living on their own. I am very proud of my boys. I have been a stay-at-home mom for many years. Prior to having children, I studied to be an Registered Nurse in Vancouver, and while I enjoyed the benefits of helping people, I decided that some aspects of that profession was not for me and left my studies. I was offered a wonderful job with Revenue Canada of which I spent many years at the Surrey Taxation Centre. I relocated to Penticton while I was on Maternity leave, and have been in the Okanagan ever since ( since 1995). I have worked on and off since then and have also looked after other children ( home daycare) in addition to my own. I have a level 1 coaching certificate in Baseball, and have First Aid, WHIMIS 2015, and Foodsafe. I recently graduated from Okanagan College as a Certified Education Assistant. I love gardening and music, and am a fledgling guitar player, acoustic and electric. I am an avid hiker, kayaker, and camper, and love the outdoors. I consider myself to be excellent in communications and possess a higher than average skill in written and verbal skills. I would be a great fit for a family that is into sports.. I have 2 boys living on their own. Provided day-care within my home in Penticton to many children in the past. I have First Aid and Foodsafe and Level 1 coaching certificate in minor Baseball. Hockey/ Baseball mom & volunteer in the past. Last year I nannied for a wonderful family and continue to be in touch and nanny for them occasionally. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I am a step-mother to my partner's 5 year old daughter. We have part-time custody on weekends, thus my unavailability for work on weekends.
