Hi. My name is Madeline, and I graduated with an Honours degree in Political Studies from Trinity Western University. I have completed the course in Standard First Aid, Level 1. I speak French at a conversational level, having done 11 years of it in school, taken some university courses in it, and spent 5 weeks in French language training in Trois-Pistoles, Quebec.
I have worked with children of a variety of ages, from babysitting infants to peer counselling at-risk preteen girls. I currently volunteer as a Girl Guide leader. In terms of interests and hobbies, I am an avid hiker and reader. As well, I have done competitive public speaking, participated in Model United Nations and model governments, and competed in two national spelling bees.
Please note that while I do have my own vehicle, I currently have an 'N' certification (class 7 license, as opposed to a full license. ) Therefore, I can only legally drive one child in my car.
I have worked as a babysitter for children from the ages of 2 up to around 10 years old. I have worked at Vacation Bible School primarily with kindergarten age children, as well as as a peer counsellor for at-risk girls aged 11 - 13. I completed the Standard First Aid course this year.
Additional Experiences/Qualifications:
- Have tutored university undergraduates in Political Studies courses
I did Standard First Aid this year, and completed my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Studies with a Minor in Communications in 2017.
