My name is Haley, and I am a recent university graduate who just moved back to Victoria (my hometown. ) at the end of June.
I just received my BA in Linguistics from McGill University in Montreal. Having spent considerable time away from the west coast and wanting to return, I opted to take a gap year to work in Victoria before applying to Master's programs in speech-language pathology. I will be spending the year here with my family and fiancé. I have a strong background in languages and education and recently completed a clinical practicum tutoring a 12 year old girl with learning disabilities. In this position, I supported her progress in grade 6 English, French and math (Quebec curriculum).
Some interests of mine include going for walks with my dog and biking along the seaside. In my spare time, you can find me at the gym training for my next powerlifting competition. My approach to fitness and nutrition emphasizes well-roundedness, and I aim to create a supportive atmosphere for other gym-goers whenever possible.
