Hello families, My name is Natasha and I am a new Mount Royal University graduate. I have over ten years of experience working with children from a variety of ages, starting at 3 months to 14 years. I started as a babysitter and then slowly worked my way into the child care system as a summer camp instructor and supervisor, a nanny, and most recently a before and after school care assistant. I love children and all the energy they bring to my day. I will be returning to school in September 2019 to start my education degree in the elementary pathway, but in the meantime I believe it's best to gain as much experience working with children and parents as possible. Au mois de septembre 2019, je vais retourner ˆ l'universitŽ pour faire la licence en Žducation dans la voie d'Žcole primaire, mais en attendant j'aimerais gagner le plus d'expŽrience professionnelle que possible en travaillant avec des enfants et ses parents. I have slowly been leaving the customer service work force, trading it for increasingly enriched experiences working with young kids and youth. My child work training has come from a variety of sources, beginning in the early years with nannying for families with one to two children, then in 2015, when I moved to Calgary from New Brunswick I became a Supervisor for Pedalheads BikeCamp. This position gave me so many professional growth experiences to cherish. I became knowledgeable on the organization and their values, all while supporting my instructors and providing a fun environment for the campers. In 2017, I returned to nannying for a family with a 5-year-old daughter and 19-month-old son. With them, I was responsible to wake and prepare the children for the day and take them both to their respective schools. The children and I had so much fun together in the short span I worked with them. In the new 2018 semester I could no longer be available for work and was obligated to return to full time studies.
