My journey in childcare started when I was 12 years old and has grown and evolved over the years. Regularly caring for my nephews and nieces has enriched my understanding of children's needs and how to effectively meet them, shaping me into a capable and compassionate caregiver. My experience took an international turn when I served as an Au pair in Australia. In this role, I cared for two young girls and worked with two additional families. This experience was instrumental in broadening my childcare skills in a diverse cultural environment. After returning to the island, I took on a role as a full-time nanny for a local family for four years. This job entailed caring for a young boy with autism and his older sister. My responsibilities included school pick-ups and drop-offs, coordinating appointments and after-school activities, and handling household tasks such as laundry and meal preparation. Over time, my role expanded to include preparing meals for the entire family, managing grocery shopping, and running various errands. Through these experiences, I've developed a versatile skill set and the adaptability needed to provide high-quality, personalized care to children with different backgrounds and needs.
