describe your work experience |
I'm currently working as a live-in nanny in Ottawa looking after 4 year twin girls (including one who is deaf) and a 7 year boy. When I leave in November I will have been with the family for 20 months. My responsibilities include getting kids ready for the day (dressed, brush teeth, breakfast, pack lunches), walk oldest child to/from school, plan activities for the day (crafts, park, "adventures" on the bus to go downtown to museums or other attractions), give them lunch and snacks, light housekeeping (kids laundry, sweeping, mopping, dishwaher), and prepare some family meals as I love to cook!
My previous experience includes working as a live-out nanny in Ottawa looking after a 9 month old baby boy. The position was for 4 months during the winter of 09/10. Responsibilities included dressing him for the day, preparing and feeding him breakfast/lunch, planning activities (playgroups, museums), and light housekeeping.
I also worked 8 months in Langley, B.C. as a live-in nanny, looking after a 5 year old girl and a 2 year old boy. Responsibilities included getting ready for the day, planning activities (museums, amusement parks, library, pool, beaches, parks), driving kids to/from school and activities (sports, horseback riding), light housekeeping (same as mentioned above), preparing family meals. |
