My name is Karen, I am 22 years olf. I spent most of my middle/high school years responsible for my sisters - my parents worked full-time so it was my responsibility to collect my sisters from school, and prepare snacks, cook dinner, and supervise homework, bath and bed time.
I had similar responsibilities with a host family in France; and I also have extensive babysitting experience (multiple children!)
I hope to become a Registered Nurse, ideally in Pediatrics.
I am nurturing, loving, and have extensive first aid knowledge. I love outings to the park, recreation centre, whatever it may be! And I am prepared to help around the house (keep kitchen/living area clean, prepare snacks and meals, assist with homework, run errands/grocery shop, etc.)

As the eldest of four, I have been involved in the raising of children for as long as I can remember. As a teenager, both parents worked full-time, so it was my responsibility to collect my sisters (the youngest is 9 years my junior) from school, prepare snacks/dinner, help with homework, and aid in the bath/bed routine daily.
I had similar responsibilities in my host family when I studied in France my Grade 11 year, and have had extensive babysitting experience e 12 year as well as the year following that (consisted of 2 children under 2).
It is my hope to find a fun-loving family with whom I can form a close bond, ideally with younger children for whom I can become a role model. Arts and Crafts, walks in the park, story time, snack time, swimming! (I am a lifeguard with almost 6 years experience!); I do it all! I am also prepared to help around the house (cooking dinner, tidying up throughout the day, preparing snacks, grocery shopping, etc.)
