Childcare style I believe that as a caregiver of someone's children who are not my own, it is my job to be a guidance in their lives, someone that is there to help and offer love and support and kindness, and support-not only to the children but to the parent(s) as well. It is my job to be there for them emotionally and physically-constantly building a trusting, genuine friendship while maintaining a leadership role in the relationship.

If I am working in Senior care, I feel it is my responsibility to portray a respect for the individual I am working with, realizing that he/she is a grown-intelligent adult who is in need of the same support-love-and friendship that any other human being deserves. Self-description I am a very creative, energetic, loving kind and interactive person. I like to listen to people's stories and encourage dreams and thoughts no matter what age you are. I am a firm believer that you are where you are today because of what you believe. In working with children especially I believe it is very important to encourage creativity and individuality among each child. One of my very greatest joys is watching children learn and having a hand in creating an educational atmosphere in which they can express themselves as an individual. I am so very grateful for the friendships that I have built with the families that I have worked with in the past. My ultimate goal is to work with a family that appreciates the small things, understands the work that I am doing for and with them, and remains open and honest and communicative with me throughout our time together.

Briefly describe your work experience
I have been blessed with the opportunity of growing up in a large family! My mother had 10 children and on top of that was a foster mother. Needless to say there has always been a "childcare position" open in our house! :) I am the founder of Youth Community Connections in my home town which works to keep youth off the street and in a fun, safe, inclusive and interactive environment. For the past 6 years I have held a part time job(s) working with special needs children. Many of the children that my mother fostered required special care, this is where my passion for this work stems from. I have also worked extensively as a home and health care assistant for the elderly. I found myself completely engaged and intrigued by the families I was fortunate to work with! I look forward to not only working with a dynamic and wonderful family, but I also look forward to building an on-going trustworthy relationship with the next family I get the opportunity to work with.
