Childcare style I am very loving and compassionate, however I do not tolerate children misbehaving. I work on a warning/consequences basis. If the child begins to misbehave, I give one warning stating what will happen if they do not stop, and if the behavior continues then I follow through. Although I am consistent with this, I have had experience dealing with children who are dealing with tough situations and change, and am very well aware of how to act accordingly and be sympathetic to individual needs and assessing where the behavior is coming from. The children I have worked wth in the past have all formed quite strong bonds with me, as they know I am there to comfort them, but also respect me as they know I won't be tolerating any guff!
Self-description I am a kind and compassionate person, and love children. I understand that children are at a pivotal age, and that they need constant care and teaching. I am of the mind that we can always be doing something to improve our children's lives and knowledge - so I do my best to always keep them stimulated.

Briefly describe your work experience
I have always loved children, and was eager to babysit as soon as I could. I got my certification when I was 11 years old and babysat frequently until I was 17 when I was hired for another job. (At which point I still did, but it was less frequent).

I was a summer nanny for a family when I was 16, for a 3 year old and a 6 year old, which was challenging, but we certainly had a good time!

I have minded children of all ages, and continue to now, I usually help out friends who need a night out, as they know I am reliable and love to be around children.

Currently I am looking for something for the summer, but I am flexible and different arrangements may be made at the end of the summer if required.
