I am 24 year old female who currently works as a life enrichment aide in a long-term care home that specializes in dementia care. I have completed two bachelor's degrees, one in Community Health, and one in Gerontology. After graduating I got hired as a home care companion who assisted seniors with activities of daily living, such as showering, cooking and cleaning. From there I went on to receive a position as a life enrichment aide at a long-term care home. This job entails program planning and facilitation. During this job I have also gained experience and education in safe feeding procedures, assisting residents to the toilet, as well as assisting residents with grooming and dressing.

I have had many experiences working with children. I have four younger cousins that I babysit and am around all the time. I also babysat a child one night each week while his parents attended a course. During the time I babysat the child I played games with him, helped him complete his homework, and then put him to bed. I have also had the opportunity to attend a Leader in training program at a canoe camp. During this program I learned all the skills necessary to become a successful leader. I also learned how to interact with different children of all different ages.
