I have always had a love for children. Ever since I myself was a child I have always known that I wanted to work in a field that involves children. This is why a job just as babysitting, being a nanny, or helping a mother is perfect for me as I love to interact with children and help them learn and experience new and beneficial things. One thing I believe in very strongly is being a role model for living a healthy lifestyle; I have always been very active by joining swim teams, gymnastic teams, dance classes, and many other sports. I feel as though this is the most beneficial action you can take to teach kids how to live a truly fun, exciting, healthy, and long life. I also believe in being open to new ideas and experiences and not only give the children the opportunity to learn from yourself but also to allow yourself to learn from the children; something I find happens so much more than one would think!

| The most recent job I had was at UVic daycare in which my duties consisted of interacting with the children, helping them through activities, general cleanliness of the environment, as well as some meal prep. I have also assisted in many summer camps for children such as dance camps and musical theater camps. I have also volunteered at an AIDS orphans camp in South Africa where I interacted with kids and helped guide them through activities. I have also been a dance choreographer for young children at a dance studio. I have also coached young children in swimming. As well, I was recently employed as a mothers helper/nanny for the summer months giving me much experience with toddlers. |
