I came here as a nanny from the Philippines. I have been working as a nanny for more than 10 years here in New Westminster, BC. I recently work as a nanny but my job will end in August, 2016. I am planning to visit my family back home in September and be back in Mid- October. I finished my Care Aide Program 4 years ago. I have a little bit of experience with elderly during my practicum in a facility environment. If I am given the opportunity to work with the elderly I am very willing to undergo the needed training. I am honest, hardworking, have great communication skills verbal and written, physically fit and eager to learn more about the job that I am going to have in the future. In childcare setting, I have more experience in it. Children's safety is the most important task of a nanny, establishing good rapport with the parents, having more patience to handle the children's challenging behavior, be a good model to the children by showing respect to their feelings and be a good listener to them when challenges arises.
