I began working with children in an after school care program. Here I was responsible for 20 children aged 5-10, where I planned programs and activities to keep them occupied after school. I have worked in out of school care programs for the past 4 years.
Throughout the summers I was a summer camp leader for 2 different camps. One with children aged 5-7 where we would do various arts, crafts, outings, and physical activity. The other camp was a roving program, where every day we would move to a different location and have up to 70 children participate. Here I planned similar activities as mentioned for ages 3-12.
I also have experience working with children with autism, and feel very comfor helping children of all abilities.
As well, I have previous nanny experience working with children from 6 weeks to 10, where I was called as needed. |
