About Me

Hello there!

My name is Chrissy, and I am a 2007 High School graduate, and currently have a degree in Social Work and a minor in Family Studies. I am 23 years old,and grew up in the Edmonton area.

I will be attending the University of Calgary starting the 3rd of September for my masters in International Social Work.

I have babysat my neighborhood children (babies-age 8) since I was 12 and had completed the babysitting course at the Midland Community Center. I currently babysit for 2 boys ages 1 1/2 and 4 here and there, and really enjoy watching both boys grow. I have babysat for them since they were 4 months and 3 years old. The 4 year old has some form of autism, so I have experience working with him. I am a "sit down on the floor and play" kind of babysitter, and love to be active. It really bugs me when babysitters do not interact with the kids they take care of. I have had lots of experience with babies and younger children. My senior year in high school I co-opped at a day care, with children ages birth-8 years old, and I have worked in other day cares as either a volunteer or a paid employee.

In high school I took a child development course and worked in many different schools around Midland. I took a year off before University to volunteer with Americorps, where I worked in an inner-city preschool and elementary school in Cincinnati full time. I worked with preschoolers, as well as older ages (3-5th grade) in the after school program and Big Sisters program.

I am very fun, punctual, and responsible. I am a Dean's list student, and have always been proud of my grades. I have never been a smoker, and love animals.

Due to my many jobs and my internship working with children in elementary, middle and high school with Big Brothers Big Sisters, I have been background checked multiple times, including through the police department.
