I just moved to bc in 2015 from ontario where I worked in a montessori and nannied for the last year. before that I lived in calgary where I worked in a licensed childcare centre for almost 7 years with children aged 6months-11 years. I was also a part time nanny for a family for almost three years, as well as a casual babysitter for many other families. I am currently staying home with my kids for the summer but looking for part time babysitting opportunities or to take a child part time in my home. I love teaching and working with young children and couldnt imagine doing anything else. I believe children should learn in a hands on environment and be able to have a say in what they want to do. At the same time I feel having a somewhat structured routine is also very important for children to thrive.

In my (over 10)years of experience working in daycare/Montessori and nannying I have been in charge of things such as meal prep, diaper changing/ toilet training, cleaning, creating day to day schedules, planning activities and feild trips, driving children to and from school and activities, as well as planning arts and crafts, sensory, fine and gross motor activities. Although I only have my ecea I acted as assistant director at my previouse childcare centre. I also took early preschool curiculum cources as well as many other early childhood planning courses. I also have taken my first aid/cpr multiple times and am raising 4 kids of my own that are aged 3-14
