I was a nanny in the summer/ early fall 2010 for a 12 month old girl whom I was in charge of 3 days a week for 11 hours each day, plus a few extra days when needed. I worked with the parents to provide a developmental plan that included cooking healthy food, working on skill development and early language skills. We included many outings as well for physical exercise as well as new experiences in music/arts.
I worked at an independent toy store/ baby supply store for 6 years in Winnipeg, MB, and wa strained in breast pumps, bottle feeding, developmental toys as well as feeding accessories.
I studied developmental psychology at the University of Winnipeg, and learned all about the stages of growth in development, as well as early physical education and the importance of arts.
I was a volunteer puppeteer with "Kids on the block" in 2009 and put on productions of puppet shows for many ages of children specifically for the education on disabilities.
I was a film/ theatre instructor for 11-14 year olds at a private school in Winnipeg, and was in charge of lesson plans, creating developmental exercises and skill based classes. It required a lot of flexibility in order to follow what was needed for each individual student.
I began babysitting when I was 13 years old and had completed the babysitting course. I worked for many years with the Fletcher family in Winnipeg caring for their 2 girls who were 12 months and 2 1/2 years when I began with them, and 4 and almost 7 when I stopped in order to work a part time job in retail.
I am an actor, singer, dancer. I also enjoy reading, arts and crafts, music, jogging, cooking, baking, writing, drawing, and puzzles/ board games. |

Larry Laforet
Larry is the George Brown Theatre School administrator, so I worked with him on a daily basis for the last 3 years through his position there. He was also my employer for 2 periods of contract work where I assisted him with the auditions for the Theatre School program. It was contract work, so there was no termination of employment.

Liza Minnotti-Barker
Liza was my manager at "A child's Place", a baby toy/bottle accessory store I worked at for 6 years. I also babysat several times for Liza's son (who at the time was 4-5 years old). I left a child's place because I wanted to get out of retail after being in it for such a long period of time. I stopped babysitting for Liza because I moved from Winnipeg to Toronto.
