I am originally from Sydney, Australia. I traveled around the USA in an RV which was a life changing experience and then arrived in Toronto in April 2012. I absolutely love this city and can see myself staying here for a while. Since living here I have worked with a Children's Theatre company where we travelled to schools throughout Southern Ontario and would not only perform to them, but would visit the classrooms and run workshops and games with them. I have also looked after 2 children, both 4 years old from two different families which has unfortunately ended due to the summer holidays. I know Toronto pretty well now, but still consider myself a bit of a tourist which I think is a good influence on children. The genuine excitement I have for discovering new places, new parks and meeting new people can rub off on the kids I look after. I also think my background in theatre, art and Illustration is a positive too as it helps me to create fun interactive "make believe" games with the children as well as brainstorming fun arts and craft projects for school or even gifts for friends. I get along really well with children and believe I have a special bond with them that allows them to think in a different way. I am also a pet lover!

I have one year evening babysitting experience while I was studying in high school. And then two years experience during the summer holidays between studying at university in Australia. For the last 5 months I have cared for 2 x 4 year olds from 2 different families which has just come to an end due to summer holidays. Last year I was involved with a children's theatre company where I have talked to and run workshops with classes of 20 students or more grades K-8 in Ontario schools while their teachers have had errands to run.
