Springbank family looking for a caregiver on a long-term basis. We have one 3-year old who attends preschool currently 3 days per week, but would be at home with a caregiver otherwise while both parents are working. 4 school-aged children. Duties would include childcare for the littlest one, and limited care for the older 4 - meeting them off the bus after school, packing lunches, preparing meals, and occasional evening/weekend babysitting as negotiated when needed. Housekeeping duties to include day to day maintenance of the home, laundry, etc. Live-in option available at no charge to the caregiver; live out also acceptable, however we do live just outside city limits and the nearest public transport is 5-10 minutes drive from our home, transportation to and from work every day would be the applicant's responsibility. A valid driver's license and clean driving record would be a major asset, as our older children are very busy with after school activities. Wage of $13-15/hour to be negotiated dependent upon applicant's skills and experience and agreed upon duties. 40-50 hours weekly; hours and days of work can be discussed as meets our mutual needs, however flexibility and variability week to week would occasionally be necessary. We are looking for someone who communicates well in English in both spoken and written form, someone who is bright and motivated to be an "extra set of hands" in a large, busy family. Someone who is willing to engage with our family in a warm and friendly manner and become an important member of our household on a long-term basis is definitely preferred.
