We are a kitsilano family looking for a part-time nanny - to start with us as soon as possible (September 2016). We are looking for someone to work in our home five days a week, from 8am to 1pm. You will be responsible for all tasks related to the care of our children and we hope you will be a loving, nurturing and trustworthy companion to them. Our daughter is five years old and will be in kindergarten full-time. Our son is three years old and most of your time will be spent with him before preschool starts in the afternoon. While they are different in so many ways, they are both happy and adventurous children. We also have a loveable lab who goes to work most days. Days required are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 1:000pm, beginning as soon as possible. Your responsibilities: Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children Play with the them, both indoors and outdoors Take the children to and from group activities and school (car to be supplied by family) Plan and prepare nutritious snacks/meals Perform light housework Job Qualifications and Requirements High school graduate or higher Three or more years of experience caring for children Training in early childhood education preferred First aid training and child CPR Criminal record check required BC Drivers License - must have a drivers license to take children to school This is a non-smoking environment.
