My wife and I seek a reliable nanny/sitter for our 10-month old daughter. In the short-term, we're looking for somebody to take care of the baby on a few afternoons a week and the occasional Friday/Saturday night. Our daughter will begin phasing into daycare in mid-March until my wife returns to work in mid-April. Until then, we're looking for somebody to give my wife the occasional break during her last months of maternity leave and allow our daughter to get to know a helper/sitter who may hopefully be around for longer. In the medium-term, we are certain to need help once my wife has returned to work. As this is our first child, we'll adapt our needs once we're both working. Long-term, we'd like our daughter to have somebody she knows and trusts for babysitting and other needs. My wife and I also intend to have a second child, which will surely require help. Our respective families are spread out, leaving us without much of a support system. We're looking for a serious and professional person to care for our daughter, who is a good natured baby who sleeps well, eats well and loves to read. My wife and I are kind, flexible and loyal and would love to have somebody else present in an evolving capacity while our daughter grows up. No cooking, cleaning or errands would be expected.
