Seeking an experienced Nanny / Housekeeper for family style residence located in the Annex area of the city; very central and easy access to TTC. A full time, live-out position with primary responsibilities being childcare and housekeeping, some assistance with meal prep. Schedule being primarily Tuesday to Saturday, applicants should be flexible with schedules for the occasional Sunday or evening with advance notice and compensation. Summer season travel required to the cottage; winter season may ask for occasional travel with family to holiday destinations. Position Overview: Primary responsibilities are childcare, housekeeping and laundry, some assisting with meal prep and general organization of the home to maintain standards and efficiency. Primary Responsibilities: • Day to day housekeeping, laundry and ironing duties to maintain standards and organization • Daily childcare; dress, hygiene, meals, play times / groups, assist with appointments and activities • Assist with daily meal preparation, setting and clean up • Organize closets and cupboards, pick up and tidy children’s play areas • Weekly trash and recycle programs • Answer door and telephone • Flexible to travel to the cottage during the summer season, and travel with family to holiday destinations in the winter • Comfortable with pet care Applicant Qualities: • Previous Housekeeper and Nanny experience in a semi-formal style residence is required • Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills, correct use of products and methods for care of interior finishes and surfaces • Must be flexible with schedules if needed for additional evenings / weekends with notice • Applicants must be patient, trustworthy and nurturing to children • Must have a sense and respect of boundaries, exercise discretion, privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times • Applicants must be service oriented with good communication skills • Must have a valid driver’s license • First Aid training and CPR certificates an asset • Must be flexible to travel, have a valid passport with no restrictions • Must be eligible to work in Canada Salary will commensurate with experience
