We are looking for a Nanny to care for our soon to be 1 year old son, Evan during the summer months of June-Sept for 20-24hrs per week. Days worked are negotiable, but we will need a set reoccurring schedule agreed to during the work week. This opportunity may be ideal for a student nurse or care provider during their summer break from studies. Our ideal candidate is someone that is naturally nurturing, fun and enjoys living an active lifestyle. You love to explore the world with children, supporting their developmental growth along the way. You believe in learning through play and have a toolbox of activities in your back pocket that you use to foster their physical, social, creative and intellectual skills. You also don’t shy away from the more difficult elements of looking after children and respect the importance of routine, filling up tummies with nutritious food and how clear communication with both the child and parents adds to ensuring a positive environment for all. As a care provider for our child we are looking to you to supplement our role as parents. First and foremost we will expect you to maintain the loving and safe environment we have created for Evan, but will also require some light housekeeping. A little about Evan... Evan is a happy and determined little boy. He loves his food, flipping through books, nature and testing out his newly acquired cruising skills. He can be a little shy in new situations, but once he gets to know you he’ll flash you the biggest smile that lights up his whole face. He very much enjoys getting out of the house daily, visiting the park, splashing at the pool and squealing in excitement upon seeing the neighbourhood dogs! He’s big for is age, so with all his growth is very dependant on good naps and food in his tummy. As long as his routine is stuck to he’s mostly a happy chappy.
