We are a young Christian family in North Richmond (near Ikea) looking for a kind and reliable nanny to watch three children Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. This will be a nanny share arrangement. In September, our daughter will be 2 ½ and our son will be almost 1. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the third child will be a 1 year old girl, and on Wednesdays, the third child will be a 16 month old girl. These children will be dropped off and picked up by their parents at my home. The parents are personal friends of mine. The nanny will care for the children and their needs throughout the day, including changing diapers, feeding them lunch (we will either provide the lunches or have food in the house that requires minimal preparation), putting them down for naps, and cleaning up after them and herself. This position does not include housework, other than simple tasks such as watering plants, emptying the dishwasher, putting already prepared food into a crockpot, etc. The nanny would need to be comfortable taking the children out in order to take advantage of the park, library, and community centre that are a 15-20 min walk from our house. The nanny must also have a driver’s license and be comfortable driving the children in our van in order to further take advantage of the previously mentioned locations, as well as to take the children on the occasional outing elsewhere. We require the nanny to have a valid and up to date background check with at least 2 checkable references. First Aid certification is preferred. We also require the nanny to have had previous experience with multiple young children. We will conduct interviews with the other families involved in the nanny share arrangement.
