We are looking for a warm, caring and attentive caregiver for our two very sweet and fun-loving sons, aged 1 and 3 years old. We require at least two full weekdays and one half day (a minimum of 20 hours a week), since I will be in office those days. If you would like more hours, we would guarantee an additional half day for when I am working from home (for a total of 25 hours a week). We are flexible as to which days of the week. There is also the potential for some evenings and weekends if you are interested. The position could start any time, but at least by mid-September. Our ideal candidate is very reliable, engaging, creative and has experience caring for multiple children, as well as comes with excellent references. We live in a house with its own fenced in backyard, blocks away from both the Commercial Drive and Hastings Sunrise neighborhoods. Our home is walkable to many parks, multiple libraries and community centres, and other amenities. We also live close to public transit and are a quick drive to Hwy #1. Depending on which days of the week are chosen, our three year old would be attending pre-school for part of that time. This job would require you to take him to and from pre-school, which is located four blocks from our house. We would be happy to receive applications from a Spanish-speaking applicant, but that is not a requirement. We would prefer someone looking for long-term work.
