We are looking for an Occasional Caregiver / French Tutor who is a fluent Standard French speaker to spend time with our sweet and happy 17 month old daughter. As her language skills are developing so rapidly at the moment, we would like to expose her to French so she can learn the language at the same time as she learns English. We are looking for an exceptional individual who has a genuine interest in the education and development of children and enjoys spending time with them. Since our daughter is so young, we expect her to learn through playing games, singing songs, reading books, etc. (i.e. no lesson plan is required). Until our daughter is comfortable with the caregiver, a parent would be present. We have a flexible schedule and depending on availability we would be happy to hire someone for as little as one hour a week or as much as 4 hours a week. The ideal candidate is someone who is looking to have an ongoing relationship with a family. We are located in the West End of Vancouver, close to public transit. Experience with toddlers required. You must be fluent in Standard French and fluent in English. You must be able to pass a criminal record check.
