Position Overview: Seeking a House Assistant / Tutor for semi-formal residence located in Oakville, Ontario. This is a full time, live-in or live-out position with the primary focus on child care to one bright, happy, healthy 10 year old girl. House Assistant duties to provide support to the parents and other staff. Primary Responsibilities • Child care providing a safe and nurturing environment • Tutoring, reading buddy, playmate and general help • Assisting and organizing of activities for the child with the parents • House Assistant duties to provide support to the parents and other staff • Travel with the family to Florida and Bahamas vacation homes Applicant Qualities • Previous House Assistant experience in a semi-formal style residence required • Applicants must be intelligent and competent as a tutor with excellent communication skills • Applicants must be patient, trustworthy and nurturing as a role model for the child • Flexible with schedules • A team player with existing staff • The ideal candidate will be kind, thoughtful, calm, joyous, honest, reliable, charming, funny, soulful, but practical, considerate, diligent • An interest in the arts is an asset • Must have a sense and respect of boundaries, exercise discretion, privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times • A valid driver’s license an asset • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
