We are looking for an experienced nanny to look after our twin girls who are 2 and our 5 year old in kindergarten. We have lots of toys and activities at home for you to play with, but the girls like going out too. Things like playing in the backyard, going for walks, strongstart, going to the park or playgym, hitting up the library, or even going further afield. We live near 12th and Fraser, so there are many options close by - Mt. Pleasant community centre, Trout Lake community centre, main street, several parks and strong start programs. You should be kind, caring, responsible, energetic, playful, and careful. Excellent English is a must. We would like you to build a strong relationship with the kids so that you can create an atmosphere of trust and be a good role model for them. You should be able to set realistic respectful boundaries for the kids and follow through. While we are at work, you are in our home. You should be trustworthy and careful not only with our kids, but also with our house and belongings. Duties will include: drop-off/pickup of older daughter from school, pick up twins at preschool 1 day a week (Friday), bringing children to organized activities, keeping the routine/schedule, feeding healthy snacks and meals, putting the twins down for a nap, organizing activities for them to play with, and tidying of play area, eating area and kitchen after use. If you have time, it would be nice if you could fold/iron any laundry, unload the dishwasher or other light housekeeping tasks. Hours of work are 7:30 to 4:30 Monday to Wednesday, 11 to 4:30 Friday. Additional hours may be needed in future and on school closure days. We are flexible for a start time in January 2017.
