We are looking for a live-out nanny to care for our two children (9 yrs and almost 7 yrs old) in our home. We live in the community of Strathcona in SW Calgary. The primary duties include: - Preparing the children for school (make lunches, ensure children are clothed, washed and ready for the day, practice music and finish homework as needed, etc.) - Both children will need to be escorted to and from school that is approx. two blocks away. - Provide children snacks after school - Routine house keeping (dishes, sweeping, garbage, tidying, dusting) - Dinner meal preparation for the children Successful candidate can expect to work 24-30 hours per week including: - Before and after school care; 7am-10am and 3pm-6pm; Monday through Thursday and 7am-6pm on Fridays. There may be some flexibility to the start and end times of each shift/day. Additional hours to be discussed with successful candidate include: - Additional weekly house cleaning (bathroom, floors, thorough dusting and wiping, organizing, laundry) - Professional development days (full day care) - Summer months (possible full day care) Qualifications/requirements include: - Previous nanny experience (3+ years) - Resident of Calgary, Alberta - Within close proximity (5 km) to Strathcona to minimize commuting challenges - First aid and CPR training - Police clearance certificate - Current references - Fluent in English (speaking and writing) Desired attributes of candidates: - Caring - Reliable - Dedicated - Responsible - Trustworthy - Mature - Dog friendly (our home is shared with a two year old Malti-poo) This position is ideal for those who want the flexibility to do errands or be active in the middle of the day.
