We are looking for a gentle, energetic, loving and reliable childcare provider for Monday to Friday work, from approximately 8am to 5:30pm (40-44 hours a week). We are located in High Park, a 10min walk (or a 1 min bus ride) from Bloor subway line. The work involves mainly childcare for one 2 year old and one 1 year old who comes over 1 to 4 times a week on a temporary basis. The tasks involve: - taking the child/children to a nearby early years’ program /playground (always ensuring their safety, comfort and meeting other needs) and planning stimulating and appropriate activities at other times - following the parental preferences re parenting style/diet and the child (children's) daily schedules - preparing simple meals, feeding the children, changing diapers etc. - light housekeeping while the children are asleep. Must have at least some experience with 1 -2 year olds. No driving is required; we are within walking distance of parks, early years’ centres and library. The environment is non-smoking and there are no pets. We are ideally looking to hire one person but may be open to hiring two if one cannot cover full time hours. Applicable references required.
