Original post: I am looking to build a roster of potential caregivers for my grandparents, who are experiencing mobility issues but wish to stay in their split-level home. Mostly supervision, prompting to use the walker, and being around to call someone if they do fall! May include help with toileting and dressing, especially as my grandpa becomes weaker and more forgetful. Meal prep and/or ability to pick my grandpa up from dialysis twice a week would be an extra plus! Weekend overnights may be desired, if you are interested. Part-time and/or occasional. We may have a live-in caregiver starting in February, but will still need frequent coverage when she is away or off-duty. Looking for someone patient who promotes independence and preserves dignity in seniors as much as situations allow. Grandma is friendly and has a big heart.
