Full Time Live Out Nanny

JD
Active:

Hi there! We are looking for a full time childcare worker, to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to approximately 3:30 pm, commencing mid-April. We live just west of Calgary (there is no public transit), so any applicant must have their own vehicle to reach our house. We will, however, provide a vehicle with which to drive our children during the work day. A bit about us... We have three little boys-- Jack is 6, Luke is 3 and Brendan will be 1 soon. Jack is currently in afternoon kindergarten, loves being active and Lego. Luke is currently in playschool two afternoons per week, and is a bit obsessed with puzzles and trying to keep up with Jack. Both of them enjoy a good craft, baking and books. Brendan is a very sweet, happy baby, who loves being held. He's not too keen on naps yet, but we're working on it! All three of them are sociable and talkative little fellows! Rounding out our household is our very gentle, non-shedding medium-sized dog, who doesn't cause any trouble. What we're looking for in a childcare worker... We are hoping to find someone who is kind, independent, reliable, patient and who finds creative ways to engage our children and encourage their development as good-hearted and responsible little people. We will enroll our children in extra-curricular activities from time-to-time, and may require the successful applicant to drive them to and from these activities. We would prefer someone who has experience as a nanny and has relevant education (ie, childcare certification), and ample driving experience. We expect to need a childcare worker for the next several years, so would prefer someone who views working with children as a career. We would be open to the successful applicant bringing their own child to our home, provided that their child and our children enjoy playing together. We want to ensure ample interaction with our children, so we will ask the successful applicant to agree to avoid non-work related texting, use of smartphones and televisions during the work day, unless otherwise agreed upon. Other domestic duties... We would expect the successful applicant to prepare a healthful breakfast and lunch for the children (we try to avoid relying on processed food too much). No supper preparation will be required. We would also expect the successful applicant to tidy up the kitchen after preparing any meals or snacks, wash and fold the children's laundry and ensure that the children put away their things. If this position interests you, please contact me at your earliest convenience. Thanks for considering applying! Janelle
